Sriramachandra (Rama) Anumanchipalli
I'm a Computer Systems Engineering student at the University of Auckland. I believe the best results don't come from knowing everything, but from the desire to want to know everything. I see every challenge as an opportunity of growth, and I approach problems with a mindset of curiosity and persistence.
Im also known as the long name guy and yes its longer than the alphabet, but I go by Rama, what was once a nickname is now the name I use for almost everything. To keep my full name short and simple, I use ASC.
From designing PCBs and writing embedded firmware to building full applications, I enjoy working across the full system. My approach is simple; I break problems into parts, work on each part, and keep going until it works.
During my time at university I have developed a strong passion for engineering and I am always intrigued to learn something new, my primary motivation is to learn something so that I can apply it practically and make an impact
Outside of engineering, I enjoy building personal projects that push my creativity — whether it's experimenting with new technologies, developing interesting apps, or refining ideas into something practical and usable. I'm also passionate about self-improvement, staying consistent with fitness, and learning how to think more clearly and solve problems effectively.
To add, I love film and video games, and I have a habit of writing my own personal reviews and analyses of them, if youre keen you find my film reviews on letterboxd, and who knows maybe my next project might be to make a site where I can put my reviews :)

Experience
Software & Firmware Engineer
Working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop software and firmware for APSS 3.
PSAT Firmware Engineer
Designed and implemented a GUI ground station using Python and a LoRa RA80H module to receive telemetry from the PSAT satellite and display it on a live map.
Intern
Working with a team to develop software solutions for healthcare providers, focusing on improving patient care through technology. Helped build software tools for managing patient data.
Sponsorship Lead
Managing industry sponsorships and partnerships. Coordinating events and office visits to connect students with technology companies.
Optical Assistant
A part-time role I started at the beginning of my Engineering degree. As an Optical Assistant I provide a warm front desk experience, operate POS, and manage appointments. I also conduct preliminary eye screenings to support optometrists, dispense and customise eyewear based on individual lifestyle needs and prescriptions, and deliver hands-on customer service including spectacle repairs, adjustments, and cleaning.
Micro-Intern
Worked with a diverse global team across time zones to develop a fundraising campaign for Antarang Foundation, an Indian non-profit empowering underprivileged youth through skill development. Led the team, organised structure and task delegation, contributed to campaign strategy, created an infographic to pitch to stakeholders, and authored a written report.
Operations Team Member
My first part-time job. Worked at the checkouts as a cashier, hauled trolleys, stocked shelves, and assisted customers. Developed strong communication and teamwork skills while providing customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
